Raquel L. Ervin

Executive Chef & Owner

Chef Raquel Ervin started cooking at a young age, standing on a chair to reach the stove. She learned from her mother that to guarantee good eating one needs to learn good cooking. Her sister Regina opened two home-style cooking restaurants in Mobile, Alabama, allowing her to experience cooking on a higher level even as a teenager.

After years of restaurant experience and preparing meals for family and other functions, Chef Raquel decided it was time to start her own catering business in 2014. With her refined palate and over ten years of experience in the food preparation industry, she is the ultimate quality control specialist, ensuring that you will receive the highest caliber of food service. Chef Raquel has catered events for organizations such as the Susan B. Komen Foundation, special employee events at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex and in unique venues including Aldridge GardensSterling Castle and Windwood Equestrian.

She has also showcased her recipes in a live cooking demonstration on ABC 33/40 Talk of Alabama, and she has been featured in Birmingham’s Wedding Magazine and Birmingham’s Own Magazine. Recently, her delicious “five-cheese mac and cheese” recipe won Panoptic Catering 1st Place, “Best of Magic City Mac” at the 2018 Birmingham Magic City Mac + Cheese Festival.
